78th Street Theatre Lab
In 1980 Mark Zeller and Dana Zeller-Alexis founded The 78th Street Theatre Lab. For over 35 years, the lab served as an incubator, performance space, school, and home for the Zellers as well as generations of up-and-coming New York actors. Almost a rite of passage for aspiring Broadway stars, performing in a “Off-Off-Broadway” black box theater production above the Stand-Up NY comedy club allowed total creative freedom. Over the years the space evolved into a a tight-knit network of actors, teachers, coaches, directors, and writers.
